*insert my happy dance*
This Weekend I...
Drove all night (okay, three hours but it felt longer)- from sunshine, to rain, to heavy snow, to rain, back to sunshine- only in Washington!Went golfing (Fore!)
Ate many good foods (including dining out at a Chinese Buffet)
Went to Vancouver
Played lots and lots of cards
Sleep a little
Relaxed in a warm cozy hot tub....insert drool here.

Ate more good food!
Did absolutely no knitting until Sunday night, where I completed two rows of my blanket. Wow. Two rows. (Of course, it is 202 stitches for one row)
Plus, I called in sick on Friday, which made the weekend even better - how else would I have been able to go golfing? :) My husband dominated me- his score was one half of mine- he got a 41. Do the math. And we only played 9, instead the full 18. Wanted to get home in time for lasgana! Yum yum!
Vancouver was a good trip. Drove down there on Saturday for the purpose of apartment hunting only. It was Hubby, me, and his folks. We drove around and around and around. Vancouver never ends! Hubby and I found one complex that we fell in love with, but they don't know if there will be anything open in June. But we are praying! And we got to peek in the mall in Vancouver-that thing is huge! I think I may have drooled over my nachos a little while we were there. What shopping may occur. Hehehe...
Now I just must sit here and wait. How annoying that is! I want to move! I want to find a job! I want, I want, I need, I need, give me, give me! (I love What About Bob, what a classic!) My patience is wearing thin...
What to do, what to do..I know- a pointless internet quiz- here you go!

Pretty pink racket

Ooo... Peeps. Mmm.. So many things to say about them...Hubby bought me some today, as they were 1/2 off. Mmm... Okay, okay, I called him and reminded him to buy me some. They are my secret passion. Though I am a picky eater, I eat the weird stuff. I like good stuff, not just the norm. But I also like icky stuff, like sugar coated marshmallows. Did you know there is a fan club for Peeps? I should be the president of that club! :)
I made Hubby an Easter basket this year. Pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. Though I failed to take a picture before I presented it to him, I do have some pics of some leftovers. IE-we ate all the candy, all the non-edible items are still here.

See, look at all those goodies he got! Some nice golf balls and tees! He just bought golf shoes and a new spanking driver these last two weeks. We are in the mood for golfing. Then I also wandered down the small tool aisle in Fred Meyer (How did I get there) and discovered it was buy one, get one free. You cannot pass that down. So I figured we could upgrade from a roll-up tape measure to a 25 footer and who doesn't need a pair of needle-nose pliers? Thats what I thought! He also got the usual solid chocolate bunny and then some mini robin eggs (mmm!).
We went over the brothers house for dinner yesterday. It was interesting. The SIL made ham and scalloped potatoes. And fluff, which is jello salad with whipped cream and real fruit (if you used raspberry jello, use raspberries). I dont like ham, I dont like scalloped potatoes, and I dont care for raspberries normally. What a meal. We brought over pasta salad, lemon bars, and rolls. What delicious rolls they were. I am still eating them as there was leftovers! Yay for leftovers!
Then we played tennis afterwards. How I am enjoyed that sport more and more. On Saturday, I dominated Hubby! How rewarding. We celebrated with a slurpee. Plus, I have a pretty pink racket I play with, so I love going out. Something about playing with a pink racket just puts a bounce in your step! :)

This morning, I had a fit with shoes. I decided they are all horrible. When it becomes sunny weather, all I want to wear is my black flip flops. But, alas, I actually have somewhat of a professional job. So, I must trudge on in on of these pairs of shoes:

There is only 9 pairs...Just a few. But some pinch, some hurt ever so slighty, some make my feet hot, and some I just don't like anymore. But most of them I have bought within the last year or two for this job in mind so I really can't give them away to Goodwill. I need a return back. Grrr...That is my rant for the day.

I finished something! Finally! I have been in a funk for knitting. I always have these projects in mind but actually getting them out has been quite a feat. But finally, I have done something! Woohoo! I took the pattern from Knitty Fall 2006 edition - I used the Lace Mesh cloth pattern, but I did not do the stockinette portion in the middle. I just repeated for what seemed forever after awhile. But it is done! I already made a stain while washing dishes today on it(Top right corner). I am so proud of myself. I think this is the first thing I have made for myself besides a scarf. Everything else I have given away. I must make more, maybe a potholder too!

Well....I think dinner is calling my name.
Do you know how insanely difficult it is to find a place to rent in a town you don't even live in yet? Hubby and I have been looking at apartments on the weekends, online only, and finding it overwhelming. Both of us have been to Vancouver, WA maybe three times in our lifetimes, combined. So this is pretty difficult. There are so many choices, so many options. I just don't know what to do!!!! Eek!!!
We both have been looking on our own as well as together. We look at the ratings and if they have their own site, that too. We look at the newspaper, we look on Google Earth to see where it is at in relation to his work and Clark College. By the time the weekend is over I am exhausted-then I have to go to work! Ugh.
Pretty much, I wish some magically fairy would just wave her wand and it would be June and we would be in a great place, all moved over. I would have a job and Hubby would be studying for the CPA exam. But no, it is only April, I have only put in one job application that I am soooo wishing I would heard back from by now and we are stuck at looking at apartments online. We cannot afford to buy or else that would maybe make this somewhat better. Can you tell I am somewhat frustrated? These last two months are going to drag on, I can feel it. I hate this crummy job, I want to move, I want to get out of Ellensburg, I want to start school. ARG!!!!!
I think I got some of it out. I am trying to be a good sport but failing miserably sometimes. The best part of the last month was that I got to go to the beach and I got a haircut. There, that was two things. Yay for me.
Okay, anywho. I gave up the baby blanket today. She teared up and said she loved it. She is not due until August but I figured I probably won't be around for the baby shower. (Yay-I won't be around, that means I will be in Vancouver!!!)
I tried to start three different projects this weekend. And frogged them all. I tried dishclothes- actually completed it but it did not look right. It was someone else's pattern and there was a mistake in there but I just could not figure it out. I have tried that pattern several other times, to no avail. So, I just threw it out. I can find something else similar, without all the frustration! Then I tried some squares for the MIL blanket. I used BW Lace Knitting book...but nothing was quite working like I wanted. Grrr....So basically, I "practiced" knitted. But I had a good weekend.
Look what I got on Hubby's and mine shopping trip-

We went to get him golf shoes and went out with that! I love it.. Now I need to name him. Hmm...Poor hubby..Had to buy his shoes online seeing that he wears size 14! Geez!
Well, got to get back to the apartment hunting. Wish me luck!
